Privacy at FastLive

Understand what is used to run rooms and what stays in your browser.

Room data

To operate, the server receives nicknames, room identifiers, optional passwords, technical connection identifiers, chat messages and pen marks. This data coordinates rooms, controls entry and delivers messages to participants. Do not send sensitive information through chat.

Video, audio and networking

The app uses WebRTC to transmit audio and video. Its current architecture attempts direct connections between participants. Participants and connection services may have access to technical network information such as IP addresses. FastLive has no server recording feature, but cannot prevent viewers from making recordings.

Retention

Rooms and messages are held in server memory for the session, with a maximum expiration of eight hours. Ending a stream removes the room. Server restarts can also erase this information. Pen marks are kept briefly for synchronization. Infrastructure providers may retain technical logs according to their own policies.

Browser preferences

Local storage keeps language, host name and stream preferences. Session storage keeps the viewer’s nickname and information needed to resume a room in the same session. A preference cookie remembers language for up to one year. You can clear this data in browser settings, which may end your participation and remove preferences.

External services

Hosting uses Railway; domain DNS uses Cloudflare. The interface loads fonts from Google Fonts and icons from UNPKG. Cloudflare and Google STUN services help discover connection routes. Requests to these services include technical information such as IP addresses and browser details, also subject to those providers’ policies.

Advertising and control

This version does not load AdSense advertising or audience analytics. Future advertising requires updated disclosures and applicable consent configuration. To control what you share now, choose a specific tab or window, keep passwords off screen and end the stream when done.
